Advisory Council

Growing number of companies and organizations are taking a real stance as food safety leaders by supporting SFC.

Safe Food Canada’s Advisory Council is made up of formal supporters of the organization who have stepped up with monetary commitment and/or in-kind support for a 2 or 3-year period.

Partners on the Advisory Council are of two kinds: Founding Sponsors provide funding to SFC, and Contributing Partners provide in-kind products and services to SFC that may include research resources, marketing materials, event facilities, advisory services, hardware and software.

Founding Sponsors and Contributing Partners are invited to sit on the SFC Advisory Council for the term of their commitment to provide advice and guidance for the operations and priorities of Safe Food Canada.

The following are currently partners on the SFC Advisory Council:

Association of Canadian Faculties of Agriculture & Veterinary Medicine (ACFAVM)

Canadian Meat Council (CMC)

Maple Leaf Foods

Global Food Safety Partnership (GFSP)

University of Guelph (Food Science)

Grocery Manufacturers Association (Science & Education Foundation)
